TIMELINE SUGGESTION FOR EDUCATORS

  1. Complete the registration form and mail it in as soon as possible. Pay the required fees ($2 per student) and if you haven't already done so, confirm numbers as soon as possible.
  2. Promote the Career Symposium with students, parents and staff by encouraging them to visit the website. Feel free to explore each individual path. This website is designed to meet the needs of each unique participant of the Symposium. If possible, please link this site to your school or student services web site.
  3. Using the Counsellor's / Teacher's Guide and the Show Guides, spend quality time in school beforehand preparing students for the Symposium. Create a useful assignment for the students. Place posters in prominent areas. Send newsletters home. Encourage the use of the Web sites and the links provided to other sites.
  4. After a few days following the visit to the Symposium, gather the written assignments and follow-up on the day's activities. Submit the evaluation to the Symposium Committee.
