Career Symposium RegistrationLocated on the second floor at the top of the escalators.Responsibilities will include checking-in schools and selling tickets to the general public. Wrist bands and passes will be given to teachers as you check them in. Teachers should return passes when they leave. Tickets and cash will be balanced and a summary sheet completed after each shift. *This position is for non-students only. Information BoothsVolunteers will provide information to attendees on the location of Exhibitor Booths; speaker times; and the location of seminar rooms. They will also provide maps and general Symposium material. Information booths will also be a central location for lost and found and general announcements for the Show Floor. AmbassadorsWorking and patrolling with the Winnipeg Convention Centre staff, responsibilities will include providing
directions, making sure that everyone is behaving and reporting any problems to Winnipeg Convention Centre Speaker HostsResponsibilities will include accompanying speakers to their seminar rooms, briefly introducing them, staying for their presentation, taking a count of attendees, panel facilitation, completing an evaluation of the speaker’s presentation, and thanking them when they finish. Requires full day commitment (8:30 am - 3:00 pm). ExtrasA variety of positions to be assigned as required. AVAILABLE TIME SLOTSThese time slots are available for all volunteer positions. Specific shift times can be provided to meet volunteer's available time.
Volunteers who work the Registration Booth, or who are Ambassadors for the first shift, will be required to begin their shift at 8:00 a.m.
