SIGN-UP & ORIENTATIONDownload your 2008 Winnipeg Rotary
Career Symposium ORIENTATIONAll volunteers are invited to attend a short training session at the Winnipeg Convention Centre, Millennium Room, Tuesday, April 10 at 7:00p.m. This session will provide you with an orientation of the Convention Centre and your responsibilities when you are on duty. For each volunteer assignment during the symposium, you will report to the Volunteer Lounge for a brief orientation. The Volunteer Lounge is in room 16 on the main floor. We’ll tell you how to get to your assignment, and set you up with a T-shirt and ID. TimingPlease try to arrive ten minutes before the start of your shift. If you think you might be late, or you can’t make your shift, please call Strauss communications site office at 957-4342. How to DressYou may be on your feet for 2 or more hours, depending on your assignment, so wear comfortable shoes. Food and BeveragesThe volunteer lounge has complimentary coffee, soft drinks. Free AdmissionBefore or after your shift you are welcome to see the show or any of the speakers free of charge.
PARKINGThis is a big event, and finding parking in the immediate area can be tricky. Winnipeg Convention Centre Parkade:$8.50 CDN per day. Enter via Carlton Street and arrive early! Street Parking (meter):Park on the street between 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. and pay $2.00/hour. However, please be aware of parking
