Registration

Do you thrive in a fast paced environment? Then this job is for you.

Registration volunteers check in schools and sell tickets to general public. Teachers are provided with wrist bands for their students in advance of the event. When schools arrive on site, teachers are required to check in at registration and are provided with a teacher’s pass. These passes must be collected at the end of the day. Cash and complimentary passes are balanced after each shift.

Information Booths

Are you ready to provide the latest information to the attendees? Then this job is for you!

Information Crew responsibilities include helping the attendees find specific booths and speaker sessions. Information volunteers are encouraged to tour the exhibit hall prior to their shift to familiarize themselves with the booths and their locations. Ambassadors and Information volunteers will work together to ensure that all exhibitors enquiries are attended to, by communicating their requirements to show management.

Ambassadors

Are you ready to be the "face of the Rotary Career Symposium"? Then this job is for you!

Ambassadors will welcome attendees, encourage exploration of all aspects of the Symposium, and distribute participation surveys to all attendees. Ambassadors will also help eliminate line ups and monitor speaker rooms and the exhibitor hall on the third floor. Please thank all exhibitors for their support. Your visibility encourages questions from the exhibitors and attendees and cuts down on potential discipline issues. This position plays a very important role in the efficient execution of the Symposium. Must be 18 years of age, and should be able to be on your feet for up to three hours. Over 100 Ambassadors required.

Speaker Hosts

Are you ready to greet the Symposium speakers, introduce them to their session attendees, and monitor their presentation? Then this job is for you!

Speaker Hosts responsibilities include managing all aspects of a speaker room, including greeting speakers and bringing them to the assigned speaker room, briefly introducing and thanking speakers and completing speaker evaluations. Requires a full day commitment, must be comfortable public speaking.

Exhibitor Lounge Hosts

Are you a natural born host? Then this job is for you!

Exhibitor Lounge Hosts are responsible for ensuring that the exhibitor lounge is comfortable and fully stocked with the provided refreshments for the exhibitors. Position includes making coffee, tidying the lounge, and engaging in friendly conversation with exhibitors. Shifts include arriving early to make coffee, and staying later to tidy the lounge.
