Orientation

For each volunteer assignment during the symposium, you will report to the Volunteer Lounge for a brief orientation. The Volunteer Lounge is in room 16 on the main floor. We’ll tell you how to get to your assignment, and set you up with a T-shirt and ID.

Timing

Please try to arrive 30 minutes before the start of your shift.

How to Dress

Wear comfortable shoes, you may be on your feet for 2 or more hours, depending on your assignment.

Food and Beverages

The volunteer lounge has complimentary coffee, soft drinks.

Free Admission

Before or after your shift you are welcome to see the show or any of the speakers free of charge.

Parking

This is a big event, and finding parking in the immediate area can be tricky.

Winnipeg Convention Centre Parkade:

Enter via Carlton Street and arrive early!

Street Parking (meter):

Park on the street between 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. However, please be aware of parking bans during rush hour traffic (3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.).

Parking is free after 5:30 p.m.
